When duty calls, a MaxxForce® Defense Engine is your answer. Ranging from 2.8 liters to 12.4 liters, MaxxForce defense engines are tried, true and ready to power for defense systems on the highway and the battlefield.
MaxxForce has a number of defense engines ready to suit your needs. The MaxxForce D4.5 is built on International’s MaxxForce 5 engine platform. It is a defense engine that powers diesel engines for combat.
The MaxxForce D6.0 is a diesel engine that powers defense systems on the highway and the battlefield. The MaxxForce D7.6 is a militarized version of the MaxxForce DT defense engine, a legendary combat engine powering over 300,000 diesel engine trucks on the road today. The MaxxForce D9.3 is a heavy-duty power engine that can be found in both military and commercial vehicles.

D4.5: Overview
This engine delivers big performance in a small package. Built on International’s MaxxForce 5 engine platform, the militarized D4.5L V-6 features the International® Electro-Hydraulic G2 fuel injection system with diamond coated injectors that allow it to run on JP-8 with no performance reduction. As standard, this engine includes an industry changing two-stage turbocharger, and enhanced electronics to deliver outstanding reliability and durability. Top-mounted fuel and oil filters provide easy access for increased uptime and reduced operating costs.
